proves that the Genesis brand is a Genesis G70 2022 \u00a0 reliable competitor in the luxury car segment. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Competing with the flagships of Genesis sports sedans such as the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C requires both a sporty chassis and a luxurious cabin &#8211; two things that are the G70&#8217;s strengths. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Not only does it provide <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/genesis-gv70-2022\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">driving pleasure and a beautiful interior,<\/span><\/span><\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The smaller Genesis sedan is a par for the brand&#8217;s bargain prices, coming in several thousand dollars cheaper than its main competitors from Germany. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Not to mention the standard 10-year warranty package, which is more than double what most luxury cars offer. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Genesis<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure><br \/>\r\n<figcaption class=\"blocks-gallery-item__caption\"><br \/>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_30853\" inherit;\">Genesis gave the G70 luxury sedan its entry in 2022,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/genesis-gv70-2022\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">These include an updated front and rear styling as well<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> as interior modifications that bring the car visually in line with the new G80 sedan and GV80 SUV. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Genesis also addressed one of our complaints inside the 2022 G70 with a new, larger, more premium infotainment screen. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The optional six-speed manual transmission has been discontinued on the G70. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Look for a 2022 G70 to land at Genesis dealerships in North America in late 2020 or early 2021.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Genesis hasn&#8217;t released pricing for the 2022 G70 yet, nor has it released information about its standard or optional features. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We expect the 2022 model to stay close to 2021 pricing, Genesis<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">And if trim options stay the same, we&#8217;d recommend the Prestige package, which adds plenty of high-end <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">features like nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, and adaptive headlights.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Genesis engine, transmission and performance<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex base G70 2.0T features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder that sends 252 horsepower through an eight-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/genesis-gv70-2022\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Four-wheel drive optional<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> . <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Its engine felt booked up around town, and acceleration times were normal. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, our heart skipped a beat when we got behind the wheel of a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">That is, with 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We spent some personal time with the 3.3T rear-wheel drive and were stunned by the thrust of the engine that sent it from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds in our test. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Regardless of the powertrain configuration, the G70 has expertly balanced driving and handling characteristics.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The suspension smoothed out uneven surfaces, and the sedan held ground during spirited cornering sessions. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The more powerful 3.3T does, however, have the advantage of adaptive dampers that allow the driver to tighten the ride if needed, but all the money the G70 has done has done a great job of sending information into the driver&#8217;s hands. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Steering feedback is subtle and pleasant, however, with adjustable effort available by switching between multiple driving modes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Genesis <\/span><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">fuel<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> economy<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The EPA has not released fuel economy estimates for the 2022 G70 yet,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We didn&#8217;t get a chance to test the car with any of the new powertrain options. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">So when we get a chance, we&#8217;ll put the updated G70 through a 75-mph highway fuel economy test and update this story with the results.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Interior, comfort and cargo<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">That is to say, on the inside, the G70 offers a luxurious experience thanks to its attractive materials and excellent <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">build quality. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Its driver-centric design and direct controls meet the needs of driving enthusiasts. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Likewise, the <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">high-end glossy work and ornately textured surfaces on our test car flattered our rich side. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Genesis also <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">keeps things stylish by avoiding the urge to glue synthetic carbon fiber parts and a flat-bottom steering wheel <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">into the cabin, and the result is a cabin that feels more luxurious than an Alfa Romeo Giulia or Jaguar XE. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">While <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">the front seat strikes a nice balance between comfort and sportiness, the rear seat is compromised by limited <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">legroom. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We were able to fit five handbags in the trunk of the G70, and a total of 14 bags with the back seat <\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">folded. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Small internal storage includes a handy drawer at the front of the center console ideal for smartphones and other small items.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Information, entertainment and contact<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> Genesis<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 every G70 is equipped with a standard 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system so it stands out from the clean dashboard. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The setup includes desirable features, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We&#8217;ll learn more about the infotainment offerings on the 2022 G70 closer to the car&#8217;s sale date.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Safety and driver assistance features<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The G70 was awarded a Top Safety Pick+ by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the highest but honor given by the independent crash-testing agency. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, Genesis has not been evaluated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The sports sedan features several standard driver assistance technologies, such as adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go technology and forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Key safety features
