The Pro Safety Plus package, which includes the 2021 Acadia&#8217;s <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/gmc-terrain-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">many driver-assistance features,<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> is now standard on SLT, AT4 and Denali. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Elevation Edition package is now available on SLE and SLT and includes 20-inch wheels and black exterior accents. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A heated steering wheel joins the Premium Package for SLT and AT4 models. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Those same trims can now be had with the tech package, which includes a head-up display and a 360-degree camera system. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Second-row captain&#8217;s seats are standard on all but the base SL and three new colors &#8211; Cayenne Red Tintcoat, Hunter metallic, and Midnight Blue metallic &#8211; join the board. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Acadia 2021<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We&#8217;d opt for the mid-level SLT model, which adds the available Acadia&#8217;s turbocharged engine, first and second-row leather seats, and a hands-free tailgate to the equipment list. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In addition to the SLT extras, this model comes with standard LED headlights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, keyless entry and push-button start. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Acadia base engine is a 2.5 liter four-cylinder good for 193 horsepower,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The optional <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/gmc-terrain-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">3.6-liter V-6 produces 310 horsepower<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> . <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A nine-speed automatic and front-wheel drive are standard with any engine and an optional 2.5-liter four-wheel drive is good for maximizing fuel efficiency, but no more than that\u2014it has a towing capacity of about 1,000 pounds while the V-6 can tow up to to 4000 lbs. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with 230 horsepower is also available,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But only on SLT and Denali models. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">While you&#8217;ll never forget you&#8217;re driving an SUV, the Acadia is reasonably qualified and composed. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Acadia feels heavy during high-speed cornering, but when driven in a less aggressive manner (where most people drive most of the time), the ride is forgiving and stable. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Adaptive suspension \u2014 standard on Denali and optional on SLT-2 models with all-wheel drive \u2014 adjusts the dampers every millisecond to help smooth out the ride on bumps or tighten things up if the driver begins to feel tight.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Economy in Acadia 2021 <\/span><\/span><\/strong> <strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">fuel consumption<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The EPA estimates that the front-wheel drive version with a base 2.5-liter engine will gain 21 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The front-wheel drive V-6 is estimated at 19 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The turbocharged engine with front-wheel drive is the most economical, with ratings of 22 mpg city and 29 highway. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, we didn&#8217;t test any Acadia with the nine-speed automatic transmission in our 75-mph highway fuel economy test.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Interior, comfort and cargo<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> 2021 Acadia<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_13891\" Acadia&#8217;s compact exterior may help it fit into garages and parking spaces, but it has consequences for interior roominess. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The interior is pleasing to the eye, and most of the controls are intuitive and within reach of the driver. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A black and white instrument cluster with red needles provides information at a glance; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Denali models feature a reconfigurable central display that provides a wide range of additional vehicle information depending on the driver&#8217;s settings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The tilt and telescopic steering column can use more range to give drivers who are tall or very short a comfortable position, but it still works for most people. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The leather-wrapped steering wheel features a convincingly high-end aluminum trim. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Unfortunately, some interior materials have a cheap look and feel. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">With the use of the third row, we were only able to fit two hand bags into the Acadia,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But with the second and third row seats stowed away, we were able to fit 28. The Dodge Durango kept four bags behind with the third row and 30 with the rear rows of seats folded, so it might be a better option if you&#8217;re going to be transporting people and goods frequently at the same time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Information, entertainment and communication<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">When it comes to technology, the Acadia offers a lot for the whole family. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">From a plethora of USB ports to a Wi-Fi hotspot, travelers can easily stay connected. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The touchscreen infotainment system is intuitive and responsive; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Charging more than one device that requires a 12V outlet can be a challenge, as only one of these outlets are provided.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Safety and driver assistance features<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The 2021 Acadia received a five-star crash test rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA),<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But the latest version evaluated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) was not selected as a top safety pick. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Driver assistance technologies add an extra level of protection, but they are either expensive options or force the buyer to choose one of the more expensive models. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Key safety features include:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align:
