<\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/ar.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%D9%81%D9%8A%D8%B1%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%8A\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">even though many of them<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> are a lot more meaningless <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/ferrari-sf90-stradale-spider-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">and less remembered than the perfectly fine names they replaced<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> \u2014 look at you, the Kia K5 (formerly Optima). <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But when it comes to the Ferrari 812 family, the automaker has some justification for giving these big front-engined Tourers a digital label.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The first number relates to the car&#8217;s power rating of 800 Cavalli vapore &#8211; Italian for horsepower &#8211; which translates to 789 horsepower this side of the Atlantic. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">and 12? <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">That goes with the cylinder count: These stunning horses flaunting a naturally luscious V-12 engine sandwiched between the front fenders so perfectly, Michelangelo could have sculpted them. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The engine sends torque exclusively to the rear wheels in both the 812 Superfast Coupe and the upcoming 812 GTS&#8217; retractable hardtop. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Once the latter goes on sale in 2021, it will be the first time in more than half a century that Ferrari has given buyers the option of a 12-cylinder convertible. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Compared to the Superfast, the GTS has a similarly elegant look, but its rear end has two struts that secure the roof-folding mechanism. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">According to Ferrari, they &#8220;visually embody a sense of being pushed forward.&#8221; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We can buy that, just like we can buy the name.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\">\r\n<li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\">\r\n<figure>\r\n<figcaption class=\"blocks-gallery-item__caption\">\r\n<figure 812 lineup gains a convertible variant. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The droptop, dubbed the GTS, has a lot in common with the coupe, including its naturally aspirated V-12 engine, seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, and its 211-mph top speed. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">So you can rest assured that it&#8217;s super fast too, even if that&#8217;s not part of the name.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Ferrari Superfast and GTS in one specification feature carbon-ceramic brake rotors, 20-inch wheels and, of course, a richly aromatic leather interior. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Buyers can, of course, choose from a range of paint colors, interior trim, and wheel designs, but that&#8217;s about the extent of the customization. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Which version to buy? <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">There is no wrong choice here. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The coupe is lighter, making it the right choice for track rats. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It also offers a much larger cargo volume, since its rear end does not need to accommodate the roof panel intermittently. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">But for those of you who look good with windswept hair and who enjoy long rides on the Pacific Coast Highway or through the Catskills, you&#8217;ll want to go with the GTS.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Engine, transmission and performance<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> Ferrari 2021<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Ferrari 812 <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/ferrari-sf90-stradale-spider-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">gets its muscle from a 789-hp 6.5-liter V-12<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , which delivers 530 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">True to the coupe&#8217;s name, the car is super-fast, with a speed of 211 miles per hour, according to the manufacturer. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We still have to drive the 812 convertible, but the coupe occupies a place among the fastest fast cars. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In our test, it sprinted to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It&#8217;s an amazing performance.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Even behind the McLaren 720S, which successfully raced in just 2.7 seconds. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Ferrari claims the GTS should be about 60 seconds behind the Superfast, likely due to necessary chassis reinforcements that make the convertible about 265 pounds heavier than the coupe. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We found the latter&#8217;s handling to be very clever for a nearly two-ton car. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A few of our drivers noted that the dual-clutch transmission can provide a few rough shifts at times, but the engine&#8217;s note \u2014 not overburdened by the turbo or supercharged \u2014 makes up for it. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This car is superfluous: its exhaust tone begins as an annular squeak and rises to an ear-piercing shriek. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The standard carbon-ceramic brakes put a quick and decisive stop to this beast. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The coupe only needed 142 feet to stop from 70 mph in our tests.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Ferrari 2021 <\/span><\/span><\/strong> <strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">fuel economy<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">2021 Ferrari 812 Superfast drains fuel, <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/ferrari-sf90-stradale-spider-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">averaging 12 mpg city and 16 mpg<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> highway according to the EPA standard. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Lamborghini Huracan\u2014the main competitor, albeit with the V-10\u2014is a little better, returning 13 and 18 mpg, respectively, in those areas. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">During our time with the 812 Superfast, we managed just 11 mpg, two shy of the 13 mpg rating. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We haven&#8217;t quite gotten our hands on the 812 GTS yet but given its EPA ratings of 12 mpg city and 15 mpg highway, we can&#8217;t imagine it would impress in this area. reason for that.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Interior, comfort and cargo<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The 812 cabins offer seating for two, with reasonably spacious accommodations, good ergonomics, and modern design. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Wanting drivers to embrace the nature of the 812&#8217;s grand-ride and keep their hands on the steering wheel at all times, Ferrari ditched the typical steering wheel stems and instead put wiper controls and turn signals on the speakers. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In terms of storage space, the coupe outperforms many competitors, offering 18 cubic feet of cargo volume. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We can&#8217;t say the same for the convertible. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The GTS&#8217; folding rooftop equipment reduces that to just seven cubes. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">You will need to send most of your baggage in the future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">All 812 coupes and convertibles come with speaker stereo, but why listen to that when you have a built-in V-12 soundtrack? <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">An integrated navigation system with voice activation comes standard along with Bluetooth phone pairing and music streaming. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Owners have the option to get Apple CarPlay capability, but Android users are not so lucky.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Safety and driver assistance features<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul
