with all-wheel drive. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The cabin layout matches well with the exterior, but while Chevy offers plenty of subtle infotainment detailing as standard, the inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We&#8217;re suggesting the mid-range LT model, which adds several worthwhile features over the less expensive LS. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Among them are the eight-way power-adjustable driver&#8217;s seat, SiriusXM satellite radio, tinted rear windows, body-color exterior mirror housings, and additional chrome trim. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In addition, it is the cheapest model to choose with a more powerful 2.0-liter turbo engine, which we prefer over the standard sloth-like style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The base four cylinder won&#8217;t be able to win any fans with its slow-paced performance<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , due to its poor power and loss of breath. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This turbocharged 1.5-liter engine produces 170 horsepower, and when paired with the optional (and heavier) all-wheel drive system (front-wheel drive is standard), it takes a heavy foot to propel the Equinox to highway speeds. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is available, better suited to the Equinox&#8217;s weight. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The standard six-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly, but for fuel economy the gearbox doesn&#8217;t want to shift gear when extra power is needed. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Acceptable and easy to drive, the Equinox handles efficiently and its steering is precise and direct. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The ride is a little rough, especially with the optional 19-inch wheels (17 or 18 come standard, depending on the model), where the rough stretches of road bring some discomfort into the cabin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h2><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">fuel economy<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h2><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Chevrolet Equinox<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In the race for the best fuel economy, smaller engines have become prevalent. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Chevy&#8217;s 1.5-liter turbo isn&#8217;t fast, but it does offer attractive EPA fuel economy ratings. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, the Honda CR-V outperforms the Equinox in both acceleration and fuel efficiency. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">In the real world, EPA estimates aren&#8217;t always easy to achieve, and the Equinox all-wheel drive device proved thirstier than expected. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It delivered only 28 of its 30 mpg rating in the 200 mpg highway fuel economy test while the CR-V managed 32 mpg. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Surprisingly, the optional 2.0-liter Equinox turbocharged engine scored 30 mpg in our testing, beating the 28 mpg rating.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h2><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Interior, comfort and cargo Chevrolet Equinox<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/chevrolet-colorado-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Made of durable materials and beautifully designed<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , the cabin of the Equinox should command wide appeal. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The spacious interior should carry front and back seat passengers with reasonable comfort. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The cabin features plenty of cup holders, but most of the interior&#8217;s luxuries are for higher levels; <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The basic Equinox L is a price leader with very few features. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Some competitors offer more space behind the rear seats, but we were still able to fit eight of our hand luggage there. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Aside from the spacious center console storage box, the Equinox&#8217;s cabin storage is only average.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>\r\n<h2><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Information, entertainment and communication<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h2><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Chevrolet Equinox<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<li>\r\n<h2><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\">\r\n<figure an auxiliary input jack. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Standard onboard Wi-Fi makes the Equinox one of the best connected crossovers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2><strong><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Safety and driver assistance features<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Equinox received five-star honors from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but missed the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety&#8217;s Best Safety Pick award due to headlights that scored only marginal points in that agency&#8217;s test. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">For shoppers who put driver assistance features at the top of their list, know that the Equinox offers automatic emergency braking, automatic high-beam headlights, and lane-keeping assist as standard. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Key safety features include:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span
