Jaguar 2021<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

Jaguar 2021 In the past few years, <\/span><\/span>Jaguar’s lineup of heavyweight cars has shifted rapidly towards crossovers<\/span><\/span><\/a> , and now the 2021 XF is the brand’s only sedan – that is, until the British automaker unveils its next-generation XJ, which will be an electrified model.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

And unlike the brand’s SUVs<\/span><\/span><\/a> , the XF dashboard comes with more than a decade of performance and luxury expectations. <\/span>For anyone looking for a high-end sedan, the 2021 XF might be just the ticket. <\/span>Jaguar has streamlined its powertrain offerings for this year, cutting out the supercharged V-6. <\/span>This makes the turbocharged four-cylinder engine the only engine that lacks the efficiency of the six-cylinder versions of competitors such as the BMW 5-series and Mercedes-Benz E-class. <\/span>But the brand has added some new technologies and revamped the look. <\/span>So, lowered the price.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jaguar has updated the mid-size sedan and lowered prices. <\/span>Unfortunately, he also removed the optional pre-charged V-6 from the lineup, leaving the XF with two versions of the less powerful four-turbo engine. <\/span>A reshaped front end and new wheel designs help update the look. <\/span>Interior changes include subtle design tweaks and new features such as the 11.4-inch curved touch screen.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In order to maximize the sedan’s value<\/span><\/span><\/a> , we’re going with the base P250 S. We see no reason to upgrade to the more powerful engine in the P300 or add all-wheel drive. <\/span>Our favorite model comes with several desirable features, including an 11.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 360-degree camera system, a 12-speaker Meridian stereo, indirect hands-free entry, and wireless charging.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2021 Jaguar Engine, Transmission & Performance<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The XF is equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in two capacities. <\/span>The P250 produces 246 horsepower while the P300 produces 296 horsepower. <\/span>Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, but only the less powerful engine offers rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. <\/span>The P300 comes exclusively with all-wheel drive.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

While we didn’t get a chance to test both engines on track, we evaluated an older XF with the standard four turbo. <\/span>It was two seconds to 60 mph slower than the supercharged V-6 now, but the exhaust still looks great. <\/span>We appreciated the Jag’s flex suspension, which delivers fluid handling along with exceptional ride quality. <\/span>The XF’s steering subtly switched between low-light speed and high-speed manual. <\/span>The soft brake pedal had a gradual response, too.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2021 Jaguar fuel economy<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Neither the EPA <\/span><\/span>nor Jaguar has released fuel economy estimates for the 2021<\/span><\/span><\/a> XF four-cylinder engines. <\/span>However, we don’t expect the city and highway ratings to differ much from the previous year’s model. <\/span>The EPA puts the 2020 rear-wheel drive P250 up to 25 mpg city and 34 highway. <\/span>The four-wheel drive P300 should manage 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. <\/span>Once we can test the latest XF cars on our 75-mph highway, which is part of our comprehensive testing regime, we’ll update this section with our real-world results.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Interior, comfort and cargo<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Inside, the XF has received a subtle makeover. <\/span>The center console’s rotary transmission and the external air vents that rotate open in the dashboard are gone. <\/span>Now, next to the new shift knob is the drive mode selector that lowers into the console when not in use. <\/span>Jaguar overhauled the climate controls, too, with dials that have self-contained temperature settings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n

The redesigned center console hosts a new standard wireless charger, and Jaguar says the space offers more storage space. <\/span>The front seats are wider than before and have larger heating and cooling zones. <\/span>Passenger and luggage space remains unchanged, preserving the car’s roomy rear seat and spacious luggage compartment.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Information, entertainment and communication<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Jaguar adorns every XF with an infotainment system called Pivi Pro that works through an 11.4-inch touchscreen with curved glass. <\/span>We haven’t interacted with this new interface yet, so we can’t say if it’s more responsive and less cluttered than the company’s previous systems, but we’ll keep you posted. <\/span>In addition to supporting over-the-air updates, the setup comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and 12 Meridian stereo speakers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

2021 Jaguar Safety and Driver Assistance Features<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The 2021 XF has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). <\/span>Jaguar’s mid-size sedan offers a satisfying array of optional driver assistance technologies. <\/span>Key safety features include:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
