Not often but it’s not unusual. <\/span>We’ll see someone take a Porsche 911 and turn it into a rally driver. <\/span>And now, the 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar “The Dusty Frog Prince” is ready to satisfy those customers’ desires.<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

The 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar was inspired by the Porsche 953 racer that won the 1984 Paris-Dakar Rally, so it’s no surprise. <\/span>that the car touted would come in the same racer style for nearly 50 years.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And beyond that, in the car’s exterior trim all come with new parts that make the car<\/span><\/span><\/a> look more ready to go. <\/span>With the front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper protruding lower than the body line it also comes with an aluminum bumper plate. <\/span>On the side of the wheel arch, there is also an impact-resistant plastic visor.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The rear spoiler has been changed. <\/span>The foldable has been overhauled, reinforced with a carbon bonnet from the <\/span><\/span>GT3<\/span><\/span><\/a> , thinner windshields around the car, and the rear bench seat has been removed. <\/span>The front seats are made of solid carbon, the rear. <\/span>All of that is changed to reduce unnecessary extra weight.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2023 Porsche 911 Dakar<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<\/figure>\n

Although the camp did not reveal that improvements had been made or how the body structure of the car was strengthened, they did reveal information<\/span><\/span><\/a> about the suspension system of the car that it had been modified to a new set. <\/span>It is not just a change in the use of special wheels. <\/span>Then strap on 245\/45 ZR19 tires in the front and 295\/40 ZR20 in the rear for dirt roads only. <\/span>It also comes with the ability to transform itself into a driving mode specifically designed for aggressiveness:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Electric suspension This was modified to help raise the headroom under the car by 50 mm compared to the original 911, or if that wasn’t enough. <\/span>It can also increase the ground clearance by 30 mm in off-road mode, which gives it the same ground clearance as an SUV, but in this mode the car is limited, and the maximum speed is only 170 km \/ h.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The car also has a “rally” driving mode <\/span><\/span>designed to allow the car to build traction in the sand. <\/span>Or a gravel floor is<\/span><\/span><\/a> very good. <\/span>In the same situation if the customer has already activated the launch control system at the start the system allows the wheels to spin up to 20% of the actual movement speed. <\/span>To kick the floor according to the rally car version too<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

However, due to physical limitations, the gear ratio makes it the fastest and is limited to 240 km\/h, making it the slowest Porsche 911 since the 1980s.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
