<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/mercedes-benz-g-class-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">GT<\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> is also a very capable high-performance sports car. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">This is a front-engine Mercedes answer to a rear-engine Porsche 911.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The GT is shown at various points, and features a hand-crafted twin-turbo V8. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Although the AMG isn&#8217;t as immersive to drive as its illustrious rival from Porsche, it&#8217;s still super sporty, and most models are surprisingly urban on streets that aren&#8217;t on a smooth racetrack. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Those who prefer a more refined big ride will appreciate the GT C&#8217;s 523 horsepower and 550 horsepower from the GT C,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Those with sportier desires will gravitate toward the 577-horsepower GT R and GT R Pro. <\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/mercedes-benz-g-class-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Most models are available in coupe<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> and light-road <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/cargtr.com\/en\/mercedes-benz-g-class-2021\/\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">variants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"> , but the track-focused Pro model Ride Control sports suspension with adaptive dampers, a van and electronic limited-slip differential, and a brake system with iron rotors and red-painted aluminum calipers. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Stealth Edition gives a sinister look to the GT, with darkening elements<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Finally, to help us fully appreciate our six-figure investment, we selected the ventilated front seats, passive hands-free entry, and the 10-speaker Burmester audio system.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Engine, transmission and performance<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\r\n<ul style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Although the Mercedes-AMG GT has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, but depending on which model you choose, the hand-built engine will offer a different production level. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It produces 523 horsepower over the base GT model,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">It comes standard with adaptive dampers and a rear limited-slip differential. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Mercedes didn&#8217;t detail any changes to the 2021 GT C and GT R engines, but the previous year they made 550 and 577 hp respectively. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The last GT C Roadster we tested was very fast, and with top to bottom, it allowed us to appreciate the chronic AMG exhaust sound. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">We&#8217;ve also driven the GT R Roadster and the sportier GT R Pro Coupe. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The former isn&#8217;t quite as fast as some mid-engine competitors, but we still appreciated its amazing urban driving.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The Pro may be tougher on everyday driving tasks, but the R&#8217;s countless improvements make driving faster and more enjoyable to drive on a racetrack. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The new Black Series takes the mantle as the ultimate GT coupe: it&#8217;s essentially a legitimate street racing car. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Combined with the use of more lightweight materials and a host of track-focused modifications, it features a flat-crank version of the AMG twin-turbo V-8 and produces a whopping 720 horsepower.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Economy Mercedes gt fuel consumption<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">That means it&#8217;s possible. With such performance, it&#8217;s no surprise that Mercedes-AMG GT&#8217;s lineup is thirsty, but EPA&#8217;s fuel economy estimates aren&#8217;t as dire as you might expect. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Basic GTs are rated at 16 mpg in the city and 22 highway. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Those numbers drop to 15 mpg city and 21 highway if you opt for the more powerful GTC, and for comparison, the 911 Carrera S,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Powered by a twin-turbo engine, it is rated at 18 mpg city and 24 highway. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The GT R and GT R Pro manage 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The EPA has not released numbers for the black series, but we will update this section when we have the information. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">And when we tested the GTC Roadster and GTR Coupe on the 75-mph highway fuel economy, which is part of our comprehensive test regimen, they achieved 20 and 22 mpg respectively.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Interior, comfort and cargo<\/span><\/span><\/h5>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"529\" height=\"310\" class=\"wp-image-918\" to say, on the inside, the Mercedes GT Mercedes offers superb build quality, and the materials are in line with the price tag of the big GT. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The cabin is the opposite of spaciousness, but the driving position is perfect, with capacitive touch controls for the car&#8217;s many performance settings conveniently placed within reach of the center console. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The 12.3-inch all-digital instrument panel is also impressive. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Similar to the way Porsche does things, Mercedes puts the GT&#8217;s drive mode selection dial on the steering wheel where it needs to be. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Roadsters feature a powered top cover that drops in seconds. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">With a cargo area of \u200b\u200b10 cubic feet, the GT&#8217;s trunk is twice as large as the Porsche 911.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Information, entertainment and communication<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Next, the GT&#8217;s infotainment system works through a central 10.3-inch screen that looks rather large in the narrow confines of the cockpit. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Although it is not a touch screen,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">However, system functions are handled by a large knob on the console. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">The touchpad is optional and responds to gestures such as swiping, pinching, and handwriting. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">That&#8217;s why a navigation system and two USB ports come standard, as does a six-month SiriusXM satellite radio subscription and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. <\/span><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Wi-Fi is also available on board.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">Safety and driver assistance features<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\"><span style=\"vertical-align: inherit;\">That&#8217;s why neither the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) nor the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has crash-tested the 2021 GT. <\/span><span
