After a long break in the Chinese market,

GAC Toyota has the advantage as an additional option for fans to release Toyota

Frontlander Hybrid.

 The Japanese brand will then launch the car in other global markets such as the Middle East and North America. It will share the same chassis and body design with only interior features separating the two.  The crossover will also come with the same Harrier engines that carry a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine as well as a hybrid power plant. The petrol fueled engine will produce 168hp and 207Nm of torque which will be mated to the transmission

While the Japanese brand has stated that the car will be available in other global markets, there is no word yet from  Toyota Philippines if it will bring the car to the domestic market as it will end up competing with the RAV4 in the same segment.

The Chinese-spec 1.8-liter hybrid 2ZR-FXE produces 98 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque in the engine segment. Paired with a new electric motor, the front-wheel drive model 1VM 95 hp and 185 Nm of torque and rear-wheel drive model E-Four 1WM 41 hp and 84 Nm of torque , total power of 140 hp mated to the automatic transmission E-CVT with five drive modes: Eco”, “Normal”, “Sport”, “Comfort” and “Sports S +”. The Toyota Frontlander Hybrid will go on sale in China soon.
