Rose Rise Ghost 2021

Rose Rise Ghost 2021

Rolls-Royce is widely known as a builder of ultra-luxury ride-hailing cars for the very wealthy , and its entry-level model, the Ghost, only cements that reputation. The design of the model has evolved for 2021, but it still looks very handsome. Unlike the last generation, which shared its underpinnings with the more popular BMW 7 Series, the new Ghost rolls on the same luxury architecture used in the Phantom sedan and Cullinan SUV. Powered doors provide access to the cabin – a haven lined with some of the finest materials in cars. The interior also provides ample space for both front and rear seat passengers to relax in complete comfort.

Despite being an entry-level model, the Ghost will remain out of reach for most new car buyers. The list of standard and optional equipment will certainly be long, but we’ll have to wait until the nearest Ghost sale date to decide how to determine it. We expect the sedan to offer a similar level of customization options as the rest of the Rolls-Royce lineup;

Engine, transmission and performance

Despite the 2021 overhaul , Ghost is powered by a familiar engine. Under the long hood is a 563-hp 6.7-liter V-12 shared with the Cullinan SUV.

An eight-speed automatic transmission takes care of the shifting tasks, and all-wheel drive is standard. According to Rolls-Royce, the 2021 Ghost is capable of hitting 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds, and we look forward to verifying that claim on our test track. Rolls-Royce also boasts that the new Ghost delivers sharper driving behavior than the outgoing model,

She points to the all-wheel steering and 50/50 weight distribution as evidence that driving satisfaction played an important role in the car’s development. We expect Ghost to continue to provide an unrivaled journey,

Especially considering the standard adaptive suspension system that uses a road-scanning camera to help the car anticipate and compensate for potholes.

The EPA hasn’t released fuel economy estimates for the 2021 model yet , but if the 2020 Ghost is anything to go by, it won’t be much fuel. As soon as we get a chance, we’ll put the Stealth to a fuel economy test on the 200-mile highway and update this story with the results.

INTERIOR, COMFORT AND CARGO ROSE RISE

Like the cabin of any Rolls-Royce, the new Ghost is luxurious inside,

Each deck, handle, switch and lever is made of high quality materials. In an effort to stand out from competitors such as the Bentley Flying Spur and Mercedes-Benz S-class, Rolls-Royce has pulled out all-new. Think of a thick rug,

Fine-grain leather, real wood and metal accents, and even a headliner are available with built-in small LED lights to simulate a starlit sky. Illuminated instrument panel studs illuminate when the driver operates the Ghost, adding to the starry night’s ambiance. The best seat in the house would be the back seat, where passengers are treated to luxuries such as massage seats, an entertainment system, and acres of legroom.

Besides providing a Wi-Fi hotspot , the Ghost features a large infotainment touchscreen with built-in navigation. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, we expect it will also include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto interfaces. The rear-seat dual-screen entertainment system allows passengers to tune in to the radio, enter destinations for navigation, and more. Rolls-Royce also offers an 18-speaker Bespoke stereo system with 1,300 watts of power and magnesium-ceramic speaker cones.

Safety and driver assistance features

While it is unlikely that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) would conduct crash tests on such a low-dollar-volume ride,

Rolls-Royce has stepped up the driver assistance game with the 2021 Spectre.

The outgoing model offered few of these features, but the new model made major leaps and bounds in this category. Key safety features include:

Standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection

Standard Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keeping Assist

Standard adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode
