Volkswagen Arteon 2021

Volkswagen Arteon 2021

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon sedan is as practical as it has a discreet hatchback body in avant-garde style . Unfortunately, the great looks of the four-doors get lost in translation when it comes to how you drive it. Sure, it has a peppy four-cylinder engine with a turbocharger and inductive steering response, the Volkswagen Arteon.

l But they do not match the visceral qualities offered by sports sedans such as the BMW 3-series and Genesis G70. Although the Volkswagen cabin has limousine-like passenger space and can carry plenty of cargo under the rear hatch, the interior is not as luxurious as the finest alternatives. However, Volkswagen Arteon

The 2021 Volkswagen Arteon is easily the most stylish model to sport the iconic brand’s logo, and it shows passenger cars are still relevant at VW — at least for now.

Volkswagen 2021 Arteon introduces new exterior details and various interior updates. The first includes new front fenders, new wheel designs, the adoption of a new company logo and further differentiation from the sporty R-Line. All models are now available in Kings Red metallic paint. R-Line adds Oryx White and Lapiz Blue. Inside, the Arteon has better materials and redesigned elements, the Volkswagen Arteon

Which aims to address some of our complaints . Notable features include a thicker, premium steering wheel, more sophisticated air vents, touch-sensitive climate controls, and adjustable ambient interior lighting. The new standard is a digital measurement suite. The latest version of VW’s infotainment software also arrives with a new touchscreen and the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Volkswagen Arteon

We think the SEL R-Line strikes the best balance between style and standard features. Compared to the base model, the mid-level R-Line has a more distinctive front end that includes an illuminated light strip in the grille and sporty bumper. It also comes standard with a sleeker cabin that features cool ambient lights and wireless charging.

The SEL R-Line also has lane-keeping assist and traffic light recognition as standard. Adding glossy paint colors makes Arteon more attractive than before, and we’ll take our colors in Lapiz Blue.

Engine, transmission and performance Volkswagen Arteon

The Arteon is powered by a 268-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Most versions offer standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive, except for the SEL Premium, which is all-wheel drive only. Depending on the trim level, Volkswagen Arteon

The Arteon comes standard with 18, 19 or 20-inch wheels. Our 4WD test vehicle managed to sprint in 6.1 seconds to 60 mph, but competitors in this price range are faster. Furthermore it ,

The powertrain is tuned for efficiency, so acceleration is a bit weak. Adaptive suspension dampers are standard and can be adjusted automatically according to your driving style or manually set to Comfort, Normal or Sport mode. No matter the setup, the ride is smooth and disciplined. The precise steering is reminiscent of a top-grossing ten Golf GTI, and the handling is efficient, but you wouldn’t confuse this big Volkswagen with a sports sedan.

Fuel Economy Volkswagen Arteon

The EPA estimates that the 2021 Arteon’s front-wheel drive will gain 22 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. All-wheel drive versions see those numbers drop to 20 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway. We tested the latter on our highway and the 75-mph fuel economy, part of our comprehensive test regimen, achieved 37 mpg. We still haven’t done a real test on the front-wheel drive Arteon.

Interior, comfort and cargo

Inside, the VW Arteon is furnished with high-quality materials, but none of the design flair you’ll find on a Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Volvo S60. Still, VW carved a lot of interior space out of the grandiose appearance of the big five-door. Two of the six-footers with a large tire can ride up front without rubbing the elbows. The rear seats fit similarly,

There is a noticeable increase in legroom compared to the Passat. The Arteon hatchback opens to reveal a large cargo capacity of 27 cubic feet. We were able to fit nine handbags behind the back seat and another 12 bags (21 total) with the back seat storage. That’s more than other four-door hatchback variants, such as the Buick Regal Sportback (seven and 19) and Kia Stinger (six and 15). All Arteons come with heated front seats, but the top of the SEL Premium trim adds ventilation to those seats, driver massage, heated rear seats, and a power tailgate.

Information, entertainment and contact Volkswagen Arteon

But an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system is standard on every Arteon. It is mainly controlled by touch inputs, there is no longer a volume knob, but there are also touch-sensitive controls on the steering wheel. Besides the two USB ports, the VW has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The transition to SEL provides mobility and wireless charging;

The Premium R-Line features a powerful Harman/Kardon audio system. Additional connected features, such as remote vehicle unlocking and emergency assistance, are available with a Volkswagen Car-Net subscription.

Safety and driver assistance features

Volkswagen Arteon The Arteon has not been tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) but the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has named it a top safety pick. It comes standard with some driver assistance technologies, such as forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. Volkswagen Arteon

Adaptive cruise control and lane-keep assist are standard on SEL models, while only the SEL Premium features automatic high-beam control, a surround-view camera system and parking assist with front and rear parking sensors. Key safety features include: Volkswagen Arteon

Standard blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert

Standard Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist

 Available adaptive cruise control
