cadillac cadillac XT5 2021

cadillac As a luxury compact SUV, the Cadillac XT5 aims to achieve broad appeal. Unfortunately, it lacks some of the key attributes needed to successfully compete against such impressive vehicles as the BMW X3, Mercedes-AMG GLC43 and Volvo XC60. The cabin of the XT5 is spacious, comfortable and offers an upscale ride , but its appeal is limited. Buyers can choose between a four-cylinder engine or a turbocharged V-6, but loading the XT5 with options quickly pushes its price into the Porsche Macan’s territory — an area where the XT5 is even deeper.

The XT5 receives a number of new standard features for 2021 , including wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality, Amazon Alexa integration, and an upgraded digital display in the instrument cluster. Elsewhere, the XT5’s external cameras have been upgraded to provide better image quality,

A more powerful wireless charging pad and USB-C charging ports have been added, and a feature that uses Near Field Communication to pair smartphones in just one step joins the list. Starting in 2021, Cadillac will also offer a few more advanced driver assistance features, including night vision, rear pedestrian alert, and improved automatic park assist.

The base Cadillac XT5 is $44,990, but we think the mid-level Premium Luxury model is the best value. In our experience behind the wheel, the XT5 Sport failed to get our blood pumping, so we don’t think it’s worth the investment. The Premium Luxury edition adequately delivers on the luxury brand’s promises,

With coveted standard features like leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, hands-free tailgate, wireless charging, and more—though not everyone needs all-weather four-wheel drive capability, it’s available for another $2,000 if you want it. A 237-hp four-cylinder turbo is standard, while an optional 310-hp V-6 costs an extra $1,000. Get a V-6.

The standard XT5 four-cylinder engine produces 237 horsepower while the optional V-6 produces 310 horsepower. With either engine, it’s no match for performance-conscious rivals like the 340-hp Porsche Macan S. On light daily runs, we’ve found the Cadillac’s V-6 engine to be surprisingly quiet and completely isolated from the cabin. However, under the heavy throttle, the engine’s greater ruthlessness makes itself known in an uncharacteristic way.

Face a twisty road and the XT5 can handle it with confidence, although it won’t make the hair at the back of your neck stand still even when equipped with the optional adaptive suspension. Body roll is well controlled and the XT5 feels large and grounded, providing particular comfort on long highways. Despite the jagged stretches of broken sidewalks, our test car felt jittery and allowed sharp impacts to echo through the cabin. The steering is subtle but lacks any deep feedback – another missed opportunity to appeal to enthusiastic drivers.

Standard four-cylinder turbocharged front-wheel drive XT5s earn EPA fuel economy ratings of 21 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. city, 26 highways, and 21 communities. On both models, adding the optional all-wheel drive system lowers these estimates slightly,

It is a small concession to increase confidence in inclement weather. On our 200-mile fuel-economy test route, the XT5’s all-wheel drive V-6 delivers 23 mpg, while the front-wheel drive model with a turbocharged four-cylinder drives 29 mpg.

Cabin, comfort and cargo cadillac

Passenger space is acceptable, and accommodations are luxurious as one would expect from a modern Cadillac. The materials used throughout the XT5’s cabin look upscale when examined individually, but when viewed as a whole, the result is a design that appears unfocused. The interior is good, and the driving position is acceptable. And for the year 2020,

The XT5 received better interior materials, improved ergonomics, and upgraded features such as the new digital gauge cluster. Even a luxury crossover has to be practical, and the XT5 excels in this category. Above average luggage space, plenty of bins for storing small items, and an easy-to-fold back seat allow this case to easily convert from a luxury liner to a cargo king. The XT5’s luggage compartment holds 10 cool carry bags with the rear seat locked in place. Once folded, we fix 24 handbags.

All well-connected XT5 models all come straight out of the gate, with standard features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The infotainment system offers intuitive controls including a rotary console. An updated Bose audio system is now available. There are four USB ports throughout the cabin for charging mobile devices, and a wireless phone charging pad is available between the two front seats.

ميزات السلامة ومساعدة السائق

The XT5 received a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) but did not receive a Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) due to poor headlight performance. Unfortunately, those who appreciate driver assistance features like blind spot monitoring will find themselves shelling out dollars. Key safety features include:

Automatic emergency braking available

Available adaptive cruise control

Help is available to keep track
