Ford Bronco Sport 2021

The 2021 Ford Bronco Ford Bronco Sport is the little brother of the all- new off-road- ready SUV Bronco ,

A viable alternative to smaller Jeep models. With a cool and cute trunk design as well as several innovative features , the Ford ute is poised to be popular. Each model comes with all-wheel drive, a wealth of driver aids and a spacious cabin. For once, the sport’s moniker is put to good use, because the little Bronco has enough indoor space to carry two mountain bikes, plus a configurable cargo area that converts into a mobile base camp. Most models will be the perfect companion for those buyers who have “Ford Bronco Styles Active Life”. But the Bronco Sport also has capabilities that make it worth sharing one of the Blue Oval’s most popular SUV names. Ford Bronco

What’s new for 2021?

The Bronco Sport is an all-new model that aims to serve as a smaller alternative to the larger Bronco. Ford says the Bronco Sport will hit dealerships later this year.

Although the Badlands is one of the most expensive models, it will also be the most capable off-road. Combined with a 245 hp quad-turbo engine –

More powerful than the two available engines—and a beefed up all-wheel drive system—the Badlands has raised suspension and upgraded dampers to handle rough terrain. Ford says it will only build 2,000 units of the First Edition, which will be the most expensive Bronco Sport, but it gets all the good stuff from the Bronco Sport Badlands plus the more luxurious interior and exterior touches from the Outer Banks.

Engine, Transmission and Performance Ford Bronco

The Bronco Sport runs on the same platform that underpins the Escape crossover , and every model has all-wheel drive. The base engine is a three-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and a turbocharged 1.5 liter,

But a 245-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is also available. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, but the more powerful engine brings steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and upgraded cooling components. The Bronco Sport can also tow between 2,000 and 2,200 lbs. The Badlands and First Edition versions pack a variety of exclusive equipment, including a dual-clutch rear-wheel drive unit with a differential lock. They also have all-terrain tires mounted on 17-inch wheels,

and a 1.0-inch suspension lift for more ground clearance, and steadier shock absorbers. We drove the Bronco Sport Badlands and noticed its massive steering and assertive handling that made it look like a truck, but not as smooth and firm on the highway. Its off-road capabilities also exceeded expectations, but just remember that it still had limitations before attempting to tackle the Rubicon track.

fuel economy

The Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the three-cylinder Bronco Sport will gain 25 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. Moving to the more powerful four-cylinder version drops those numbers to 21 mpg city and 26 highway. When we get the chance to run it on our 75 mph highway for fuel economy,

Which is part of our comprehensive testing system, we can rate real-world mpg.

Interior, comfort and cargo

Inside, the Bronco Sport has an attractive design and a host of popular features. The little haute also has a great space and many stylish innovations. While its wheelbase is shorter than the Escape, the Baby Bronco has an upright sitting position and just the right amount of legroom in the back seat. Likewise, its roofline rises from the rear, providing additional headroom and enough luggage volume to fit two mountain bikes. The cargo hold can also be equipped with a sliding table that doubles as a workspace, a 400-watt inverter, and LED lights built into the inside of the tailgate that provide overhead lighting. Tailgate features a glass hatch and a built-in bottle opener. Badlands and First Edition models come with washable, rubberized floors and upholstery that are easy to clean. Another neat trick is the storage box under the rear seats.
