The Bronco Sport runs on the same platform that underpins the Escape crossover , and every model has all-wheel drive. The base engine is a three-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and a turbocharged 1.5 liter,

But a 245-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is also available. Both are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, but the more powerful engine brings steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and upgraded cooling components. The Bronco Sport can also tow between 2,000 and 2,200 lbs. The Badlands and First Edition versions pack a variety of exclusive equipment, including a dual-clutch rear-wheel drive unit with a differential lock. and a 1.0-inch suspension lift for more ground clearance, and steadier shock absorbers. We drove the Bronco Sport Badlands and noticed its massive steering and assertive handling that made it look like a truck, but not as smooth and firm on the highway. Its off-road capabilities also exceeded expectations, but just remember that it still had limitations before attempting to tackle the Rubicon track.

Interior, comfort and cargo

Inside, the Bronco Sport has an attractive design and a host of popular features. The little haute also has a great space and many stylish innovations. While its wheelbase is shorter than the Escape, the Baby Bronco has an upright sitting position and just the right amount of legroom in the back seat. Likewise, its roofline rises from the rear, providing additional headroom and enough luggage volume to fit two mountain bikes. The cargo hold can also be equipped with a sliding table that doubles as a workspace, a 400-watt inverter, and LED lights built into the inside of the tailgate that provide overhead lighting. Tailgate features a glass hatch and a built-in bottle opener. Badlands and First Edition models come with washable, rubberized floors and upholstery that are easy to clean. Another neat trick is the storage box under the rear seats.

Every Bronco Sport features an 8.0-inch touchscreen that supports Ford’s Sync 3. It comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, but can be upgraded with SiriusXM satellite radio and a B&O audio system.
