Despite the optional 21-inch wheels for our test car, the expected bumps from harsh bumps almost went unnoticed. The flex suspension system was equally successful in limiting body movements and increasing smoothness. Steering response was linear, with an adjustable manual available in different driving modes, but it never made it clear what the front wheels were doing. The two A7 models we tested had impressive stopping power, with emergency braking distances of 157 feet and 163 feet.
